Mission
Statement
The mission of Prescott Meals On Wheels (PMOW) is to provide services that
enable older people to maintain independent living with safety and dignity. Our
primary mission is to provide one hot nourishing meal per day, both in a
congregate setting and to our homebound clients. Volunteers who use their own
vehicles deliver our homebound meals.
We have a further mission of responding to the needs and concerns of our clients
as perceived by those who deliver meals and others in the organization who have
contact with our clients. We network with other organizations and individuals
who are also concerned about the problems facing our aging populace. They are
willing to respond to the challenge of providing goods and services that will
enhance the quality of life for those among us who, with just a little help, are
able to remain independent.
This program is primarily for persons 60 years of age or older. However, meals
will be prepared and delivered to homebound persons under 60 when such persons,
and funding for such, has been approved by the involved government agencies.
