Gift Acceptance Policy
Prescott Meals on
Wheels accepts gifts of cash, materials, supplies, equipment, services,
securities, personal property and real property subject to the provisions of the
all-inclusive gift acceptance policy as adopted by the Prescott Meals on Wheels
Board of Directors.
Donors can
designate gifts in a variety of ways as suggested through the wording in the
sample language examples as well as descriptions of planned giving in literature
provided by Prescott Meals on Wheels.
The information
provided by Prescott Meals on Wheels is intended to provide general guidance and
is not a substitute for professional counsel.
We strongly
recommend that donors employ a competent lawyer in the making of a Bequest or a
Codicil to their Will or Trust to comply with the law of the state in which the
donor resides as well as the provisions of the Internal Revenue Code governing
the deduction of charitable gifts and bequests.
